Building a child’s reading, math, thinking and creativity skills, Dr. Seuss Preschool [2000] contains over 250 educational lessons with animated characters and colorful backgrounds. All characters, settings and artwork are taken from the Dr. Seuss universe. In an attempt to assure educational usefulness and diversity, the developers rely on a team of real-life teachers. Through a series of learning activities and games, children are exposed to numerous skills such as letter and word recognition, vocabulary, counting, early math, sequencing, sorting, memory-building, art, musical patterns and colors. Accompanied by a description of the activity, lessons involve helping Elma Sue find her mother, putting alphabetical eggs in a nest and stacking math-based turtles. In addition to the vast number of lesson plans, Dr. Seuss Preschool also features printable workbooks and activities, varying skill levels depending on each child’s age, skill trackers (progress of learning) and an original soundtrack. Printing out workbooks allows your child to build skills on the road, around the dinner table or at school. The game also features Pals Technology, meaning you can personalize the learning experience, assess the abilities of the users, laugh while learning and employ smart helpers for ongoing assistance. As an added bonus, the game features narration by Horton the Elephant. With a mouse-driven and keyboard supported interface, Dr. Seuss Preschool is the second educational package in a series that includes Dr. Seuss Toddler and Dr. Seuss Kindergarten.
