TROUBLESHOOTING AND ISSUES THQ thoroughly tests its games on a variety of systems before they are released, but it is virtually impossible to test on all combinations of software and hardware. Many of the issues you may encounter are caused by device drivers for video cards, sound cards and CD-ROM drives that are not fully compatible with the Windows operating system and/or DirectX. The following troubleshooting tips are intended to assist you in solving some of the common issues you might experience in relation to the game. MOVIE PLAYBACK When in-game movies are being played on a system with Windows 98, some visual corruptions (pixelation, distortion, choppiness) may appear while they are playing. KEYBOARD CONTROLS Some keyboards don't allow using more than two keys at the same time. For example, you cannot press two Cursor keys and the Spacebar at the same time. In this case, the third keypress will not be recognized by the keyboard and will not be sent to Windows. If this happens with your keyboard, try using the Left Shift key as primary action button. ALT-TAB The game will not properly restore after being minimized under Windows XP. Once ALT-TAB is pressed again, there will be numerous graphical corruptions and flashing. ALT-TAB is not supported and not recommended. REMOVING THE CD Under no circumstances should the Wild Thornberrys CD be removed during gameplay. The disc is needed for vital gameplay information. The game is not supported without use of the CD. If the game was installed under Minimum Install and the disc is removed, the game will crash. RENAMING THE PATH When installing and renaming a path for Wild Thornberrys to install to, the path should be 190 characters or less. INSTALLATION WITHOUT ENOUGH HARD DRIVE SPACE The Wild Thornberrys Movie game will not properly function when attempting to install without enough Hard Drive space. The installer will continue to prompt regarding not enough space but allow the player to continue. The Installer program can be finished, but the game will not run properly. Free up Hard Drive space to ensure the game can be installed correctly. USING THE KEYBOARD AND MOUSE There are conflicting issues that result in random crashes when both the mouse and keyboard are being used simultaneously. From proper function, choose to use only the keyboard or mouse. OTHER PROGRAMS RUNNING For all best possible results, make sure The Wild Thornberrys Movie is the only program running. Other programs running in the background can cause interference resulting in gameplay problems that are unavoidable by the game. ATI 8500 ISSUE Be aware that there is a graphic corruption issue involving ATI 8500 Video Cards. Playing "The Wild Thornberrys Movie" while running this video card, will create a graphic corrpution on the Zoom area within the Rock Painting Mini Game.
