Video games released in 1973

1973 saw the release of popular arcade games Gotcha and
Space Race, both of which have no surviving versions. This was the first year SEGA entered the gaming scene with clones of the now popular game Pong. This was also the first year Konami and Taito were established – to manufacture arcade machines. This year also saw the release of the first ‘team game’ Empire.
