  1. I used to play this game religiously before I was able to actually read. I was thinking about it the other day and I wasn’t even aware that it was considered at risk of being lost media ever. I’m glad someone donated the game files.

  2. So the game does work, however, there is an issue at the very end, where the rock climbing section lags severely on modern computers making it impossible. My fix was to use DXWND (free program) and give it some compatibility settings. You may need to mess around with it further, but here’s what I’ve changed and it appears to work for me:

    Main:
    ✔ Early hook
    ✔ No banner*
    ✔ Run in Window*
    ✔ Terminate on window close*
    ✔ Force windowing*
    ✔ Lower background priority
    ✔ Keep Aspect ratio*
    Video:
    ✔ Prevent Win Maximize*
    Screen resolution (HD (16:9)*
Compat. (you may need to enable advanced settings for this):
✔ Pretend Win visible & on top
    ✔ Win insulation
    ✔ Handle Exceptions
    ✔ Set NOPs
    ✔ Fake Version (Windows 98/SE)

You may need to mess around with it more, but I’m running it on a modern laptop on Windows 10 and it is running perfectly fine at 60 FPS.
    * This likely didn’t have any effect on it. I also was trying to get around the game maximizing itself into full screen. It’s very intolerant of even minimization, due to it being nearly 25 years old
